Player Eligibility & RegistrationItem Link List Item 1
Player Registration: All players must be registered on their team's PlayMetrics roster before the league begins in June.

Rosters & SubstitutionsItem Link List Item 2
Team Size: Maximum of 7 players per team. Only 3 field players may be on the field at a time.
One Team Rule: Players may only play on one team per division.
Male Players: May not play in female divisions (except co-ed
Female Players: May play in male divisions
Substitutions: Allowed during any dead-ball situation. Players must:
- Be at the half-field line before the dead ball occurs
- Be called onto the field by the referee
- Enter and exit only at the half-field line

Shin Guards: Mandatory for all players
Game Balls: Provided by participating teams
Ball Sizes by Age Group:
- 8U and younger: Size 3
- 9U–12U: Size 4
- 13U and older: Size 5
If age divisions are combined, the ball size for the older age group will be used.

Dimensions: 30 yards wide x 40 yards long
Goal Box:
10 feet wide x 8 feet deep
No player may touch the ball inside the goal box
Any part of the ball or player's body on the line is considered in the goal box.
Players may pass through but not contact the ball
Infractions:
- Defender touches ball in box → Penalty kick for offense
- Attacker touches ball in box → Goal kick for defense
- Ball stops inside box → Goal kick to defense

Game FormatItem Link
Duration: Two 10-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime
Mercy Rule: Game ends early if a team leads by 10 goals
Time: A shot must fully cross the goal line before time expires to count

Goal Validity: Must be scored from the offensive half
Pool Play Scoring:
- Win = 3 points
- Tie = 1 point
- Loss = 0 points
- Forfeit = 5-0 win

Key Game RulesItem Link
No Goalkeepers in 3v3
No Offsides
No Slide Tackling
No Heading: Deliberate headers result in indirect free kick (IFK) to the opponent
Five-Yard Rule: Defenders must give 5 yards on all dead balls
Kick-Ins: Ball is kicked in, not thrown, from the sideline
Indirect Kicks: All kicks are indirect except corner and penalty kicks
Goal Kicks: May be taken from any point along the end line, but not from inside the goal box
Kick-Offs: May be played in any direction

Penalty KicksItem Link
Awarded when a scoring opportunity is nullified due to an infraction
Location: Taken from the top of the center circle (15 ft inside offensive half)
All other players must remain behind the midfield line
If missed, the ball is dead and the defense restarts with a goal kick

Cards & ConductItem Link
Yellow/Red Cards: Referees may eject players or bench personnel for misconduct
Red Card = Rest of current game + next game
Team Officials: May be shown cards; if no individual is identified, the head coach receives the card
Teams continue to play with 3 on the field, regardless of ejections

SportsmanshipItem Link
Players, coaches, and spectators are expected to uphold good sportsmanship
Referee abuse will not be tolerated
Violators may be disqualified per the HSSA Code of Conduct
